This Privacy Policy explains what information Notesify ("we", "us", or "our") collects when you use notesify.app, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Notesify:

• Account data — your email address and display name when you sign in with Google.
• Usage data — the number of characters processed each day, stored to enforce daily usage limits.
• Content you paste or upload — text and images you submit for dictation. This content is processed to generate audio and is not stored on our servers beyond the duration of your session.
• Log data — basic technical information such as browser type, IP address, and pages visited, collected automatically by our hosting provider (Firebase / Google Cloud).

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Notesify service.
• Authenticate your account and maintain session security.
• Track and enforce daily usage limits tied to your subscription plan.
• Communicate service-related updates when necessary.

We do not use your content for training AI models, advertising, or any purpose beyond delivering the dictation service to you.

Data Storage & Security

Notesify is built on Google Firebase. Your account and usage data is stored in Firebase Firestore, which is hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure in the United States. Google's security practices apply to that infrastructure.

Content you paste or upload (notes, images) is processed in-browser or via third-party text-to-speech APIs (such as Google Cloud TTS or ElevenLabs) and is not retained after your session ends. We do not store the text of your notes.

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Third-Party Services

Notesify uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, and hosting. Firebase Privacy.
• Google Sign-In — used for account authentication only.
• Text-to-speech APIs — note content may be sent to a TTS provider (e.g. Google Cloud TTS, ElevenLabs) to generate audio. These providers do not retain submitted text beyond processing.

We do not sell or share your personal data with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

Cookies & Local Storage

Notesify uses browser localStorage to store lightweight session state (such as authentication hints and preferences) on your device. No third-party advertising cookies are used.

Firebase Authentication may set session cookies for the purpose of maintaining your signed-in state.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Withdraw consent at any time by signing out and ceasing use of the service.

Children's Privacy

Notesify is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of Notesify after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
